Hummingenesis is a personal archive. It mirrors reels from one Instagram account, which its operator owns, to one YouTube channel, which the same person owns, and gives each reel a page here. It is run by one individual, not a company, and has no users other than its operator.

Nothing. Visiting a page here does not create an account, set a tracking cookie, or record your visit in any database we control. We do not use analytics software, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts for either purpose.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes ordinary server request logs — including IP addresses — as a normal part of serving a website, for security and reliability. We do not read those logs to identify visitors and we do not combine them with anything else.

Every reel page embeds the standard YouTube player. No video file is stored or re-hosted here; thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers.

When a page with an embedded player loads, YouTube and Google receive your request and may set their own cookies and collect data under their policies, independently of this site. This site does not control and cannot see that data.

By using this site you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

A scheduled job reads the operator's own Instagram account through the Instagram Graph API, using that account owner's own access token, and uploads the resulting videos to the operator's own YouTube channel through the YouTube Data API v3.

It reads and writes only those two accounts. It does not access, collect, store, analyse or display data belonging to any other Instagram account, YouTube channel, or viewer. It does not use the APIs to search, scrape, or gather information about anyone else.

The only data stored is the operator's own posts: the Instagram post id and caption, the generated title and description, the resulting YouTube video id, and the publishing status. That is what renders the pages you see.

The operator can revoke this application's access to their Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and its access to Instagram in the Instagram app under Settings, Apps and websites.

Because the site asks nothing of visitors, there is no account of yours to delete and no consent of yours to withdraw.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — for instance if analytics or advertising were ever added — would be described here before taking effect.
